Synopsis: Self-immolation, “a deliberate and willing sacrifice of oneself often by fire” as defined by a dictionary, is a way of political protest against the Injustice of the world or, rather rarely, an expression of mental illness. The self-immolation is extreme, desperate, suicidal, terrifying, courageous and borderless. It points a problem bigger than one’s life and sometimes it leads to a worldwide compassion, sometimes to a long process of changes or to a revolution.
In some parallel world, slightly different from ours, a man who has lost his job and his home, who finds himself without money and probably without perspective for the future, and who from our perspective seems to be a bit strange (for example he shows his real face only in the fire) walks around and sings a song about his ultimate sacrifice.
